Reverse Remodel

Reverse Remodel
Story:

A method, a process, a sequence…they all imply a systematic approach to reach a goal. Each has a starting point and an ending point linked with a number of interrelated steps. However, sometimes the starting point IS the end point because knowing what you want in the end inspires a beginning. That’s how this owner approached their remodel. During their BA period (BA = Before the Architect) they conceived a master plan and built a guest home, a storage barn, a garage with apartment, and all the infrastructure to serve them. They completed the master plan during the AA period (AA = After the Architect) and designed/built the main home. While most people would start with the main home and add the outbuildings, it shows one can create a successful project if you reverse the remodel.
