Story:

Their goal was simple enough. Their child needs a place as inspiring and wonderful as she is so they asked their architect (that’s me) to find a way to convert two really dysfunctional bathrooms, a cramped hallway and a useless storage closet into something useful, inspiring and beautiful which became Sydney’s sweet suite.

San Antonio, Texas (Designed in 2008; Built in 2008)

Lifestyle Features:

Environment Solutions:
  • replaced antiquated windows with energy-efficient windows and glass block
  • low voltage light fixtures to provide ample light but reduced energy use
  • recycled toilet and refinished tub to reuse, reduce recycle usable products
  • refinished interior doors to reuse, reduce recycle usable products
  • knee space to accommodate make-up space or wheel-chair access
Community Influence:
  • retained exterior detailing to preserve exterior appearance
  • bathed in timeless color to provide a fun child space and a classy teen suite
