Kiva
Story:
Life changes when you have kids, when they move out and when they move in again. Regardless the structure, a family needs space to commune. This family lived in their home 30 years, but as lifestyles evolved, they needed better space to cook, eat and relax. Similarly, Anasazi families of the ancient southwest created ceremonial rooms where they cooked, ate, slept and did everything necessary for family and communal life. These multi-activity spaces called kivas satisfy ancient lifestyles and create the perfect ceremonial space for this modern family too.
